This project included two separate facilities for the Canadian Guide Dogs at their Manotick headquarters:
- The construction of a 12-unit residence for clients learning to use their guide dogs, and
- an 11,000 sqft kennel building.
A link was also built to connect the new residence to the existing administration building. Over the course of the project, the site was completely reworked, providing a new septic field and two storm water management ponds.
Close coordination with the owner, consultants, and trades helped identify budgetary risks early in the project, resulting in a 47% reduction in the value of changes as compared to accepted industry benchmarks.
In addition, Lundy utilized it’s drone to provide as-built data as required to verify stormwater drainage patterns, a bonus savings of $5,000 at the completion of the project!
