The reconstruction and expansion of IAR in the heart of Rockcliffe Park created the opportunity for Lundy to celebrate its Irish roots while demonstrating that providing the highest level of fit and finish was well within our team’s capability. The four-storey stone designated heritage mansion was renovated and expanded during a 15-month construction process.
The originally predicted cost of the project was reduced by over two million dollars through a collaborative process of material and equipment value engineering, completed to ensure design intent and the quality of the work was maintained.
As a key part of the construction process, the original heritage house was structurally upgraded to current seismic standards. While this was underway, two new wings were added, bringing the overall size of the project to 24,000sqft.
