This projected involved renovating twelve thousand square feet of office space for the Professional Institute of Public Service of Canada. The space included new meeting rooms, offices, high STC rating conference rooms, open concept office areas and common areas. The scope called for demolition of interior systems, new distribution and fixtures for mechanical and electrical systems, and a completely new architectural system.
The work took place on the 1st and 2nd floor of a 5 storey building, creating challenges to ensure safe and clean common spaces for the other tenants in the building. As the occupancy date was critical to the client, Lundy ensured all long lead time materials were ordered well in advance, so that no delays were experienced during the project.
During the later stages of the project, the client requested that Lundy undertake the IT and security systems scope, including design and integration of these systems into the space, without modification to the project schedule.
